Mario Doodles Remastered

With all these sketch dumps I've done of Mario characters, I thought it was weird not to have one of Mario himself.

Actually, this is from like...a year ago? Maybe two? But I still actually like most of these doodles and have been wanting to color them. I couldn't remember where the original file I made this in, so I copied the version I posted online and did some Photoshop dark magic in order to separate the sketches from the background.

I don't even know what Mario's proportions are. I don't think I've drawn them the same twice in this batch of doodles. I do like how the second one at the top and the one of him jumping came out, and also the one where he has a cape.

Usually when I make these sketch dumps, I aim to get something across about the character(s) I'm drawing, but I don't think I did it quite as well as I would've liked this time.
As well as being carefree, I tend to portray Mario as a bit ditzy and odd-thinking to contrast with Luigi's more logical approach of looking at things......Geesh, I'm rambling. Maybe I'll save that for another sketch dump. Yo.
